I don't write reviews but this deserves one. This tent is of the highest quality. I just received the tent and camped in it for 3 nights, one of which was severe weather. I could not be happier with how it performed. It took me 30 minutes to set up the tent the first time at home. I had my wife time me and I set it up by myself including the awning in 10 minutes flat. I have since ordered the fly and the footprint for the tent to protect my investment. Very roomy. Very well made. Military grade. The only negative thing I would have to say is the stakes are not on par with the quality of the rest of the setup. I have ordered some heavy duty stakes. This tent should last me the rest of my days.
I bought mine about 10 years ago and have used it every year and one time at Lake Powell we had a terrible wind storm and practically all the tents of my extended family blew down while mine was proudly standing. I love everything thing about it and so this year I decided to buy the outfitter tent. These tents are just the best of the best in every way!
this tent is No.1
very very good
We purchased the traveler tent several years ago (~2018) and it's been used on yearly family camping trips (3 kiddos). We're able to fit a bunk bend cot, infant pack n'play, along with a queen air mattress for my wife and I. There's still room for the clothes bags and other items (we do utilize space under the cots for storing some of this). We also have the hanging organizer which works well for phones, shoes and misc. items. Setup is indeed easy, and take-down is also easy, the tricky part is not getting the top dirty when taking it down (aka I normally take off my shoes, but I'm perhaps a little particular). When packed up, it's not small nor is it light (although it's not too heavy), but I didn't purchase it thinking it would be, so no complaints from me. It's a great tent and has been worth every penny spent, admittedly it isn't cheap but neither is making a living in the US so it makes sense given where it's made. Their customer service is also responsive, I've never needed repairs or direct assistance with the tent purchased, but the couple times I've reached out to them they've answered my questions. If you enjoy camping and are looking for a sturdy and roomy tent, then this will work very well for you and no doubt I suspect this tent will have a usage life of 20yrs or more. To boot, it's made here in the USA.
Easy set-up and take-down. Handled a light rain with ease and seemed to dry quickly. Still yet to endure a heavy rain and/or winds, but I have no doubt it will handle those as well. The only reason I did not give five stars is because I would like the door to open wider as I’m a bigger guy at 6’4” and 230 pounds.
