What can I say that hasn't already been said? The CJ140 is a game changer when it comes to car camping! You can tell this thing is built to last, it really is "tough as nails". I was concerned that some of the small pin holes where the stitching was would let water in. Springbars customer service assured me that it was gonna be okay, and it was. After a few days with scattered down pours those pinholes sealed shut with no water inside. Looking forward to getting the storm fly for these wet spring seasons in PA. If you're on the fence about what tent to buy, I can tell you springbar should be your choice!

          never spring bar again

Not once, but twice did my classic Jack 140 break down in the snow.

Seems like the product is advertised to be built tough for the back country but after double use, it’s nothing more than a glamping shelter.

Don’t rely on this in the snow to keep you safe.

Snow caved in on my dog and myself in 2023 while we were on the floor. Tell you those poles coming down on you with canvas and snow is the worst wake to wake up. Fortunately the tent was so wet the hot stove didn’t burn the tent.

After this scenario the Springbar team offered me a second tent at half price cost with a rain fly.

I had set it up in 2024 around Thanksgiving time.
Had the cots set up inside this time.
Ended up getting dumped on this time with the rain fly on, snow still caved in on me and my dog and I’ll tell you, I felt like an idiot.

Didn’t even bother reaching out the second time. Because you know what, I didn’t have the patience to communicate. I broke down. I was going to lose my mind and all I could think was, man, while I lay in this pile of s**t, I might as well try to smell a rose.

On both occasions the tents were beyond repair.

I do really like the product for glamping and don’t recommend using it for winter camping. I’d advise to only use during spring time or summer time for the friends and family.

I’m just really really really bummed out I spent over $2,000+ in this camping. Equipment only for it to wind up at the dump.

This post isn’t intended to deter anyone from purchasing these products. It’s just to share my experience using Springbar products and my feelings on them.

          All the best

          Review CJ140

Just set up my CJ140. Really seems to be high quality. Did not find any defects or issues. Have several nylon tents but this is my first canvas tent. Got the fly and the ground tarp also. Hands down the best set up I have ever had. Sure I will get many years of service out of it all. Customer service is top notch.
