              Vagabond

Used the tent for the first time last week. Set up was easy and really like the roominess of the vagabond. Will be using again for the next month on a trail project. Will know how it holds up afterwards.

              Great Tent

As a first timer, I couldn’t be any more satisfied with the purchase of Springbar Vagabond tent. The tent is fantastic. The duck canvas fabric, the seam constructions, the needlework, workmanship, hardware, tent design and most importantly, ease of set up. The big window in the back of the tent is lovely. Have yet to test it in foul weather but so far so great. Great work, Springbar!

              A few gripes

When I bought my first Springbar it came with accessories including a drop cloth. Now those things are extra, and the prices have gone up way in excess of inflation since I bought my Outfitter for $336 a good few years ago.

So the Vagabond is definitely roomier inside which is gonna be a good thing but I find that the lack of a spring loaded latch button to hold the roof tensioner sleeve in place, and that function being taken over by two misplaceable velcro and buckle straps is clearly a less elegant and potentially hassle prone engineering.

              Suntan Vagabond

I’ve camped twice. It rained both times, including an all-night storm. Both times no leaking. I’m able to stand in the tent, which is a first for me and makes changing clothes a lot easier. The only negative is that the corners of the window are very difficult to zip. Maybe I’m staking the corners too tightly; I’ll have to experiment and stake less tightly to see if that makes zipping easier

Have not been able to use it but the quality is as advertised. Can’t wait to get it out
