The panels add a nice shaded entry area, also with a little privacy. The first time I put them on I didn't quite get it right as I should have put the panel gromet on the awning pole first, but it still worked out OK. This is such a great tent and I'm so happy I invested in the complete package. When the sun is beating down those panels give some needed shade!

We used the Portico Awning Panels for our Traveller tent while camping in Florida. They were great for blocking the sun and it was several degrees cooler under the awning with the panels attached than with the awning alone. Quick and easy for one person to setup.
