I've had a few Springbar canvas duffels for camp gear and stuff. I had been using this smaller duffel for travel. It's perfect to use as an overflow bag if I need to throw clothes in there to make room in my checked bag for trinkets. My one complaint is that it only had handles and I couldn't add a shoulder strap. I bought this larger duffel and it's the perfect size for carry on or to be a checked bag.
I was looking at the Fjallraven canvas duffel but they wanted $95 for it. Then I remembered Springbar and it was less than half the cost for the same quality. This size is perfect because it can easily be a carry-on, checked bag, or I can throw it over my motorcycle and use it for weekend rides. I'm very pleased with it!
Having used the duffel for several overnight trips, I am very satisfied with its size as well as the quality of the fabric, zippers, and the reasonable price. I purchased the shoulder strap with the bag but have rarely used it, the bag carries well enough with the included handles. I may consider the larger weekender for vacations or storing tent supplies while camping, but so far this bag has been perfect for overnight work trips.
For the price, getting a USA made duffel is pretty crazy. Seems like a solid, well made bag. Nothing mind blowing, but very happy with it.
Awesome, I use it for carrying extra tent supplies such as tent stakes etc. Works well.
Great buy 2 get 1 free on the canvas bags. I hope you continue to make them and not convert to all plastic bags like so many other companies.
