This is not your average plastic blue tarp. Made from rugged 600 denier polyester with a PVC coated finish for a fully waterproof and super durable barrier, our Heavy-Duty Ground Tarps are sized to fit perfectly beneath the full range of Springbar Tents. Using a Heavy-Duty tarp is recommended in wet weather, long term camps, and in general to protect and extend the life of your tent’s floor. Brass corner grommets give this tarp versatility for a wide array of applications around camp or home.

HEAVY-DUTY GROUND TARP - 7' x 9'
OUTFFITER BISON color is tough!! good!!
This is the best tarp I’ve owned in many years. This baby is going to last awhile. Glad that I added it to go under my Outfitter. THX Springbar!
One of my objectives with the Springbar tent was to keep it dry. The reason is not so much that I think it won’t be waterproof, but to not have to dry it out at home. To that end I put a tarp over the tent. And the ground tarp accomplished keeping it dry on the bottom. But it had another cool function, too - the tarp allowed me to easily position the tent in the best possible spot (level, no roots, etc.). It is much easier to move the tarp around to get the right spot, than it would be moving whole tent. Once the ground sheet is placed, it can also be used as a guide for placement of the tarp, which goes up next. All and all I found it invaluable. My only slight complaint: it did not easily go back into the bag. So rather than struggle, I just rolled it up and put a strap around it.
I bought the7x9 ground tarp with the Outfitter tent. I like it and think that it’s worth buying. As soon as the 10x10 is available for the Traveler tent I will get that too. Anything to help protect the floor.
