Features/ Specs:
I bought a Highline 8, Portico Awning Kit, and 10x14 Tarp in Oct 2020. My unflattering Portico Awning Kit review seems to have disappeared.***
The Highline 8 tent itself is good quality. The structure of the tent is top notch and withstood heavy wind and rain storms in SouthWest Florida for over 2 weeks. I had some problems with the poles and Dwell Outdoors customer service has been patient and attentive to my concerns. I discovered the (Made in China) poles are spray on zinc metalized which leaves most of the inside of the pole unprotected and easily corroded. Several arrived already rusted inside and the uprights were damaged in fabrication which did not work properly. Dwell Outdoors sent me new inspected poles that look great; except they are still not coated on part of the inside of the poles. After two weeks in Florida rain and sun there was noticeable but not severe corrosion. I did oil the insides and outsides of the poles before setting up the tent.***
After about 1.5 weeks there was a mold bloom here and the white canvas started growing mold (or some other biological). I contacted Dwell Outdoors customer service and was advised to stop the growth with a vinegar solution and clean up the stains with an Iosso cleaner. The vinegar solution stopped the growth which happened again 3 days later (and second treatment with vinegar solution). The Iosso cleaner did an OK job. The rings inside for hanging the gear loft did rust a bit from treating the cotton loops.***
I'm not sure what to think about my experiences with a SpringBar Tent. The very small windows on the sides do not allow much airflow in hot humid Florida. I was about to buy a Family Camper (doesn't have side windows), but I need huge airflow to keep the temperature down. The HIghline 8 is not working for me the way I really wanted it to work. I bet you get only great reviews when you delete your bad ones. Maybe I'll post a video if this disappears.
