Backpack tents
By the mid 1970s, Jack Kirkham's son, Jack, Jr. was playing an increasingly large role in the business. From about 1970 through the mid-1990s, Kirkham's manufactured a wide range of nylon backpacking models, many of which were designed by Jack Kirkham, Jr. Here is Jack Jr.'s camp on a stormy ledge in the Uinta Mountains, September, 1976. The tent is a Model 9155, which Kirkham's still produces in limited editions from time to time.
